Another annoyance while traveling: on my last trip the hotel tv consisted of four local channels that weren’t even free of noise! I think such a thing is not of these times anymore; any decent hotel should offer cable or satellite to its guests, preferably without them having to pay additionally for it. Especially when traveling without your family the tv and laptop are the main forms of amusement in the evening and morning, so for me it would be a reason not to choose a hotel if it doesn’t offer a decent channel pack and an internet connection. If I know about it, that is. I learned that I should check next time and not just assume the hotel offers it. Luckily I can still play scrabble on my phone…
